I had a $1.00 charge on my AMEX from GigSky today. I have never downloaded their app or requested their service. Any ideas what this is before I dispute the charge with AMEX?

Thanks for any help/insight....cheyrl

Go to your settings on your 14: Settings > Your Apple ID (the very top menu option) > Subscriptions, and see if something from GigSky is listed there. The charge, if listed there, can be canceled. If this charge is not listed there, then it is unassociated with Apple or your device. 😊

Thanks so much for your suggestion. I did as you suggested and my only subscription is to Apple TV+.

I would look into a dispute since you don't have any listed subscriptions and you said that you have never used their services which appearrs to be an esim/data service company. I am curious since it is just a $1.00 charge if that is just a place holder amount too and not whatever full amount may be coming though (potentially). I would certainly give them a call and see if they can give you a location or website or something more about the charge then dispute it. Also keep an eye on any other charges because you may want to also request a new card

Good idea. I did send an email to GigSky customer service asking what this charge is. It only posted today, so is listed as pending on AMEX. I have to wait 3 days to dispute the charge and will keep an eagle eye on the account to see if anything further occurs...sigh

Although the wait time is 3 days to dispute, contacting customer service and having them look into it could still prove beneficial because if they can see a website or a location of the originating purchase you can possibly go ahead and know what your next steps may be instead of an agonizing wait. I worked briefly (2.5 years) in banking and you will be surprised how much info the back office can see even with just a pending charge. Hope this helps and hopefully this doesn't become a painful process for you

Thanks again for the info and help. I did just cancel my AMEX and request a new card.
