GIMP.app troubles

Whenever i launch GIMP.app it starts to load, brings up the first loading window and then stops. I have even left it for 10 minutes but nothing.

On my iBook however, it works fine.

Any ideas?

from the information given, gotta check everything...

* make sure you have GTK installed
* reinstall GTK+ [latest version]
* reinstall newest gimp [in that order]

Forgot to say i installed the .app vrsion from: http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net/ which must come with GTK.

I have reinstalled the app

I'm fairly certain that you need GTK+ to run gimp.

do you have GTK+ with the iMac?

I suggest uninstalling gimp, install gtk+, install gimp.
