Gimp print drive for Dell 944?

I'm trying to use a gimp print driver to make a Dell 944 work with my Mac OSX (10.3.9). It's not working. Am I missing something, or is this impossible? The drivers supported by the gutenprint gimp that I downloaded don't list any Dell printers, however might one of the Lexmark or Epson drivers (the likely manufacturer of the printer) work instead? If so, which one? Is anyone an expert on this that can help me? I just learned about the gimp drivers yesterday, so I need all the help I can get... Thanks!

No one has gotten that to work. I think it is a relabeled Lexmark, but the Lexmark driver doesn't recognize the Dell, so it can't be added.
