Anybody have any ideas on what might be wrong.?

Thanks for your help

Can you elaborate. Does anything happen when you open Gimp e.g., splash screen? What version of Gimp? You can also check Console to see if any error messages appear there. Console is in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.

Thanks for your reply. I've downloaded Gimp and when I double click on the icon on my desktop it gives me a flash but then nothing happens. Same thing is true when I click on the file that is now in my application folder.

any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

I downloaded x-11 but apparently I do not have the correct operating system. This program requires Mac OS X 10.5, and when I try to open the package it informs me of this fact.

Do I have any other options or can you direct me to another free photo software program that would work?

thanks again for your help and input.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned that. Try this. (You'll need to have your OS install disc handy, which would be the disc marked "disc 1" that came with your mac.)
