i have gimp 1.2.3 installed and running on my system. the developers have an unstable release of 1.3.21 available, and i thought i'd give it a go. problem is, i'm not smart enough to figure out how to update. fink commander doesn't show it. when i try sudo apt-get install in a terminal, it says it can't find it. there is no auto-update feature anywhere, and i'm just not techie enough to figure out how to compile it myself. anyone help me. i'd really like to give it a shot, and also feel like i'm learning something new (i've never been able to figure out how to stay up to date with x11). thanks a lot.
