Give my iphone to a friend? Or sell it and her a 3G?

I'm trying to decide if I should give my friend my iphone when I get my new 3G. Or if I should sell the older iphone, given the great prices they seem to be selling for on ebay, and simply buy her a new 3G phone with the money.

She's not currently on AT&T - she'll be signing up as a new customer.

What's everyone think? What's the best way to do this?

if she is signing onto AT&T herself she should just buy a 3G iPhone herself...

the 8GB probably wont nab 500 bucks, but it can definitely get you at the very least 400 on ebay. However I hate ebay so I would rather do things on craigslist. Either way, you can make money out of this....
