I have an old iphone that I want to give away that still has the sim in it, im giving it to a guy that i know personally, is this safe? I know this guy and dont think he would or could intentionally do anything harmful, but why is it that people keep their sim cards?

Thanks.

But what exactly is stored on there that I dont want people to see?

Contacts and Text Messages may be stored on a SIM Card.

but if it's been in an iphone the whole time, it won't have any of those things on them. Worst they could get is your phone number. And they already have that likely anyway. Just give it to him. it's of little use to him though. But he can use it to do the iTunes activation crap if he plans on using it on tmobile.

thanks for your help, it has been an iphone the whole time and the only reason I want to give it to him is so that he can restore/upgrade it. Thanks again for your help.
