I bought a new iPad and I am giving away the old one to my mother. No risk regarding privacy here, but I have a few questions about accounts and such and if these steps are enough. Am I missing something?
1. Update, sync and backup old ipad.
2. Transfer backup to new ipad.
3. Wipe old ipad.
4. Reconfigure old ipad for new user. She does not have an apple ID or an email address. My understanding is that she will be able to create a "name@icloud.com" email during ipad setup. She does not have a computer, so everything will have to be done through the ipad.
Do I need to "disconnect" the old ipad from my apple ID somewhere/somehow or is wiping the old device enough to make it a "fresh" one?
Any other tip is welcome.
