Giving iPhone 4 reservation to someone else

Hi,

A friend of mine made a reservation for an iPhone 4 at the Apple store and doesn't want it anymore. Does anyone know if there is a way for him to give it to me? Can he change the reservation and make it under my name? If they don't let him do that, should we both go to the Apple store to pick it up and have them activate it under my account? Is this even an option?

Any help/advice is appreciated.

since it is just a few days away, i'd say both of you go in and you take the upgrade, this way nothing has to change on any computers and there is no risk of any cancellation
