Hello all,

I am getting my new iMac today, yay me!

My old iMac (previous model running SL) is going to my mom, and I am getting it ready for her.

My question:

I want to get Lion for her, and I am not 100% how to go about it so it will be a new legal copy for the new user, my mom.

I am thinking that what I need to do is login as her (I already created a new user account for her) and setup an Apple ID for her, and then purchase Lion via the App Store using her ID.

I am then planning on doing a clean install of Lion via USB drive, to fully erase the HD and give her a clean system that only has her own details, etc.

Would my approach work? Any other things I should do?

Thanks for any advice.

that seems right!
Maybe you could install her some of your programs for her use. Maybe set up home sharing in iTunes? For a personal touch maybe make the desktop picture of a family member or pet?
