Gizmo 5 Connection Problems

I just got a google voice number and I would like to be able to use Gizmo5 to make and receive calls with my macbook. Since gizmo has added google voice integration, setting up the calling should be easy, but I have a problem connecting when launching gizmo. It just sits there the whole time and at the bottom it says "connecting..." and never connects. I'm not really sure If this is a problem with my router or what. So if anybody uses Gizmo5 on their mac, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
