Glass screen protector?

I've heard glass screen protectors are good, I've been looking for a case that's a clear thin gel case but I'm worried it won't offer much drop protection so was thinking about getting a glass screen protector - just wondering if this is a good idea? Also does any have any recommendations for a good glass screen protector?
