Glass screen protectors and sensitivity decreases?

Whats the factor for touch screen sensitivity for glass screen protectors to drop?
I have this glass screen protectors and notice that i cannot very slightly tap the screen anymore for it to register my touch.
Is it the thickness of the glass perhaps? Or?
