I get this weird almost nauseous feeling when using an iPhone with a tempered glass screen protector. It's not the rainbow effect, it's something entirely different.

What I see is distortion from the glass, that seems to be magnifying the screen a little bit and blurring the image curved. When I take off the glass screen protectors, the iPhone screen is much clearer. It's almost like viewing a foggy copy of the real thing, through a distorted lens.

It looks much better without a glass on glass screen protector, and have yet to find a brand where this doesn't happen. In fact in some instances, plastic screen protectors have brought a greater clarity because they are thinner.

Anyone else experience this?

What brands have you tried?

I can recommend Belkin, but they’re $$$.

Oh lord just figured out what happened.

Just upgraded from an iPhone 5 to iPhone 8 and bought a tempered glass protector. I was getting nauseous, it was like a sea sickness.

Just realized the phone has a new feature called dynamic wallpapers. It was the wallpaper moving around that was giving me motion sickness. Turned it off, nothing is blurry anymore.

Problem solved, wow!
