Can anyone explain how to whitelist MacRumors with GlimmerBlocker?

Can't stand ads but still want to support a few favourite sites.. I have tried this but without success:

whitelist/rule enabled/priority 5/whitelist URL/Host is macrumors.com/path ignored/query ignored

so, did I miss something?

thanks

Thanks Miknos. This makes more sense but still loads the page without ads. Glimmer blocker history shows it's blocking 'http://ad.doubleclick.net/... from MacRumors. I assumed that whitelisting would remove all filters from a website, but maybe not?

MacRumors ads come from adservers. But my (possibly wrong) understanding of the whitelist is that you are whitelisting the domain where you want to allow the ads to display, rather than the various adserving domains that may appear here. Otherwise, to whitelist a site, you'd have to figure out all the different adservers that run ads here and I'm not sure how you'd ever know you got them all or how you'd keep up with them as they change over time.

Register on MacRumors! This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
