I do believe this is the case.

I just played some Nexuiz, a free FPS that is somewhat video-intensive.

I have not run actual benchmarks, but the video performance is VASTLY IMPROVED.

also, I looked at the actual drivers in the 10.5.7 and they do have updated version numbers...

My overall video performance seems very much improved.

any other pre-aluminum MacBook owners noticing the improvements?

woah? seriously?

im still hesitant to update. since everybody is having so much "problems" from post-installation

anyways this is great. i can hope to have a little more ease in watching HD dvds on my macbook probably.

perhaps i can run SC2? lol! i'll just leave that to my mainstream gaming PC

actual driver number went from

1.5.36 to 1.5.44

I am not much of a gamer, but when I do feel like FPS'ing I play Nexuiz, and I tried it out tonight.

I have never been able to run it well at my native screen resolution which is 1600X1200. Tonight I ran it at that and had the special effects set to normal. No lag at all....

seems like a significant improvement in the video....

I would like to hear others' impressions.....
