I'm running the latest update to IOS on my iPhone 5S and I've just about given up on the built in MAIL app for several reasons, so I've switched over to Google's GMAIL app and for the most part, I like it better. But one thing I don't like about GMAIL is that it includes a whole bunch of folders I simply don't want to see or use, such as

Important
Starred
All Mail
Spam
Notes

All shown on the attached screen snap.

I've gone into the GMAIL account settings on my iMac but I haven't found a way to turn off these petty annoyance folders. Has anyone?

Also, I haven't found a way to SELECT ALL in my inbox so I can ERASE ALL. Has anyone?

Thanks!
