Gmail app horrendously slow

Anyone having issues with how slow this app opens up? I'm on 6.1.2 on Iphone 4 and literally takes over 30 seconds to get to the inbox. Curious as to how if affects others.

Everything working fine on my end. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app?

Yes, many times. It appears many are complaining in the app store reviews also. The stock mail app is miles faster to open up.
