The new Gmail app from last week made some great UI strides... but it's biggest downfall is still how long it takes to load and update and refresh every time the app launches.
It really needs to implement Background App Refresh so that every time a mail notification is received it refreshes itself so you always have an updated inbox every time the app is launched.
Does the app need to be updated for this or can iOS 7 refresh it in the background automatically? I see it's listed in the settings for Background App Refresh, but not seeing any difference with it turned on.
