In Snow Leopard's Mail app (old C2D MBA) my contacts would "autofill" or give me contact suggestions as I typed. Now in Lion (new iX MBA) it doesn't do that. Both SL and Lion used IMAP, and all the settings in preferences were the same. I've setup Gmail in Outlook (new iX MBA) and it does show my contact list/options as I type, which leads me to believe it's the Lion Mail.app not playing nice.

Help much appreciated!

Did you setup your Mac address book to use gmail contacts on the new iX MBA?

No; my old SL MBA didn't have any contacts in its address book either. Possible Lion mail bug? Outlook using IMAP shows my contacts, Snow Leopard Mail does the same; Lion doesn't...
