I have a GMail account setup to use my domain email address rather than the gmail.com address.

This works fine under the web interface, but, using the iPhone's "built in" GMail app, there appears to be no way to do this.

I can actually _send_ messages from the device using google's smtp authentication but I can't pickup my email since my domain email address is different from the GMail login id.

Thanks in advance for any pointers to possible solutions,

Looks like the best option is to set up an "other" email account using imap or pop3 which allows entering separate authentication information.

Mail still shows "from" the gmail address, but the "reply to" address is the entered email (domain) address.

You also have to forfeit the iOS GMail app's "push mail" capability.

Hope that this information is of value.
