Gmail (IMAP) in Mail, not marking messages as read

I swear this worked just fine when I first set up Gmail IMAP in Mail, but for the last week or so, reading messages in Mail no longer marks them as "read" in gmail.

I use Mail, Gmail, and Outlook 2003 to access my email. Outlooks marks messages as read just fine.

Any thoughts?
