iPhone Gmail in native mail app. Wont sync email addresses..

So ive read about carddav and everything. Its all added and when I remove all email accounts except carddav the phone contacts work fine. It will not retrieve the email contacts tho.

Any help on this would be great as its getting to be a pain. Was going to post on the apple site but at some point my appleid got corrupt on the communities so I cant do anything on them.
