So I just tried to login to Gmail a few minutes ago and it says my account has been disabled. I haven't violated the TOS or anything. I just sent them an e-mail from their form, but this is f**king ridiculous. Has this happened to anyone else?

What was the email and what did it contain?

It was my personal e-mail account. It contained nothing illegal or out of the ordinary

Did you let it expire?

I checked it an hour ago and it was just fine

Edit: I was reading the Google Groups discussion for Gmail and I'm not the only one having this problem. Hopefully it's a server issue and my account hasn't actually been disabled.

My main gmail has been disabled also (the one linked to here & other forums). My other gmails are fine. This is awful!

Google posted this in their discussion forums:

Hi all,
Our goal has always been to keep Gmail free of people who abuse the
service and to keep Gmail inboxes free of spam. We've been targeting
a large network of spammers to keep them out of the Gmail system and
accidentally disabled access to some other accounts. We've restored
access to these accounts. We know how important Gmail is to our
users, so we encourage them to report any issues to the Gmail Help
Center ( http://mail.google.com/support/) so we can investigate and
assist them.

Thanks,
Gmail Guide

I'm able to login now. Hopefully everyone else who was disabled last night can too
