Gmail, Mail and marking as read.

I've been reading mail on my ipod touch and on gmail for quite a while.
Now I'm really trying to get used to Mail.

I've noticed that if I read a mail on my touch, it marks as read on gmail. However, I've noticed that reading a new mail through Mail, doesn't mark it as read on gmail.

Any way to deal with this?

It will mark it as read after Mail syncs with Gmail. You can adjust the frequency in Mail > Preferences > General > Check for new mail:

Well that is set to every 5 minutes, and I try to check for new mails and mailbox > sync account. No difference.
And then, as soon as i read a mail on the touch, it changes on gmail instantly.

Thanks a bunch. Damn that POP-setting. Erased my old account in Mail and created the same again. And now its working.
