I bought a Time Capsule and reconfigured my wireless network. Got everything set up and (I don't exactly recall the order of events) but I attempted to add my gmail account to my Mac Mail client and reset the password through the gmail website. Now my iPhone won't connect to my account nor will my Mail app on my Mac. It connects fine online through the gmail website.

It tells me cannot connect using SSL. I thought this might have been a firewall issue but I can't see any settings that would lead to errors. Is it an issue of my password not resetting properly?

My phone is unlocked/jailbroken on 2.1. I found a google link referencing some fix password packet on installer.app but I couldn't find this nor do I know if it's necessary. The this I don't understand is why I'm unable to access gmail from my Mail app on my Mac also.

Any help is appreciated.
