I've been trying to figure this out for days now and still haven't had much luck.

I'd say that about 75% of the time (since 3.0 at least) I haven't been able to send emails using my gmail account very well while on 3G. What happens is it just shows the "Sending" bar which doesn't move at all for about 5 minutes or so. After those 5 or so minutes, it MIGHT send, which would be fine if I wasn't trying to send something to get there ASAP.

Now, I've looked at my settings and all is normal and as it should be according to google. Here's the odd thing: without changing the settings at all, emails will shoot off just fine while I'm connected to a wifi server, but the second I try to send one while on 3G, it hangs.

I called up my cell's service provider (Fido) and the techs don't seem to know why this is happening. All he said was something along the lines of "Well sometimes the servers get backed up and it might not work right away." However, I told him that this happens about 75% of the time.

So does ANYBODY have this problem too? Anybody know what to do to fix it? Is it my service provider and is there something they might be able to do to help on their end? (Despite having talked to one of their techs already)
