Gmail or Exchange?

Okay...so i want to sync my Gmail to my new iPhone 4S...

Should I sync it through Gmail or Exchange?

I heard Exchange is imap and Gmail is pop3...

I want all my inboxes to sync together...have they allowed Gmail to be imap?
Or is it still pop3?

Let me know because I'm trying to get all this figured out by tomorrow.

Exchange is PUSH email

Gmail is IMAP <non push>

I prefer IMAP myself as I don't need email notifications going off at all times of the day. However I added a second account setup as Exchange with Google Calendar and Contacts since I like those 2 being push.

I use it for contacts and calendar as well. Only reason to choose IMAP would be if you find immediate email notifications distracting.

Just tested out Exchange on my iPod Touch, and it works great. Use Exchange.

I was using Gmail IMAP but switched to Exchange to sync my contacts since iCloud doesn't support address book syncing to Google anymore.

However, I've been experiencing lots of double entries in my contacts so I've since removed that option. Anyone know how else I can sync my iCloud and Google tgt? It has worked fine before iCloud on my mac.

I wanted to use the cloud but I think I'm just going to use Exchange so my Google Calendar, Mail, and Contacts sync over.

How much more instant is Push?

My iCal and Mail on my Mac are a little delayed...are those Push?

Push is insane. It's almost faster than my arm can move from computer to phone when updating contacts and such.
