Gmail - Pop-up Notifcation - Exchange Setup

I followed the directions for using google sync to receive notifications via Mail.app but it's not sending my pop-up notifications. I have push enabled, fetch @ 15 minutes. Am I missing a step?

and try to do follow the direction again...

Impossible. Mail.app only has badge notifications, not pop-ups. You can get those through 3rd party apps like Boxcar or PushMail.

I would hate to have popup notifications for email, getting 100's a day it's so intrusive.

Someone mentioned before that their yahoo mail worked so I wasn't sure.
