Gmail .pps attachment doesn't display

I get several pps documents to my gmail account and when I go to view them it comes up with nothing but letters and symbols. Similar to when you turn off plug ins for mobilesafari and go to a video site.

It used to open these attachments just fine. I try to forward then to my yahoo account with th same results.

It's a 3gs on 3.1.2.

So I changed my gmail from imap to pop. Same problem. Anyone?


EDIT: I went ahead and opened a hotmail account ( this works on my friends iPhone) no luck.
