Gmail Problems/Lag

Upgraded to ML and Safari 6 and I've been noticing not only some graphical lag in Gmail but also some lag in typing text. Because this is the only place I have had issues I am inclined to think that it has something to do with Gmail not being Retina ready or tied into the same flickering issues with Canary Chrome. Anyone else seeing this?
