Up until this week, reading/marking messages read on another email client (say a desktop client or gmail.com) would automatically remove the pushed new mail notification on iOS. As of this week, the notifications are not disappearing for me after I have marked the message read elsewhere. Is this happening to anybody else?

I have that same problem most of the time. Sometimes it takes about an hour and suddenly it is marked/archived on my phone. It's weird.

Happening to me as well.

It's completely random when it works for me too and across the board in every Apple product I own, iMac (Mail), iPad (Mail), and iPhone (Mail). Seems Apple has a problem with GMail.
