GMail question..????

I have three email accounts: 1/ Mobile Me 2/ AOL 3/ GMail

If I send an e-mail from my iPhone, using Mobile Me or AOL, I can see it in the sent folder on my MacBook Pro.

BUT - if I send it from GMail, it doesn't show up on my MacBook Pro sent folder.

Can anyone explain this? It is inconvenient for me not to have a copy of all my sent e-mails show up on my main MacBook computer.

I have checked carefully the settings on my GMail account and it is set to "store sent messages on the server".
