gmail stops about once a day after 8.3 update.

I have a 6 and after the 8.3 update I have an issue where my gmail stops even if I open the app it just stays at checking forever until I force close the app or reboot the phone. Anyone else heard of this?

Uninstall and install the app again. If that doesn't help. Switch to in I app by Google.

I deleted the account and re added. I'll see how it goes.
