Gmail syncs everything but contacts???

Regular Gmail setup (not google sync) syncs mail, calendar, and notes. Wouldn't contacts be a smart thing to add in there?

Yep it appears that you are also limited to only syncing the main calendar as well. I wonder what (if any) the advantages of IMAP Sync are over Google Sync?

The unfortunate part is Google Sync will sync everything but notes. I had to add my account twice on my iPhone, one with MS Exchange (Google Sync) for my mail, contacts, and calendars, and another with IMAP for notes.

I've always wished for better Google integration with the iPhone...
