OK, so here's my deal...

I have been using Apple Mail for a while, and have a very intricate system of folders and rules to sort out all my mail that comes in.

Now Gmail has rolled out IMAP. While I'd love to have the ability to read an email on both my phone and laptop, the process of setting up IMAP after already having a big setup through POP seems to be frustrating at best. I tried just draging my folders into the imap folder, but it looked like it was going to spend all day copying files or something.

Is there any way to take an already organized inbox (in mail, not on Gmail web), and have it all sync up without spending all day doing it?

Make sense? Am I not giving enough detail?

Thanks!
