gmail, what is going on

Hi,
Is it just me but I can't connect to gmail this afternoon.

I'm in the UK and it's starting to to annoying.

In New Zealand their server had been going down intermittently

I echo this. Though Apple push e-mail has been rather sluggish.

i ended up having to do a restore as it wouldn't save email passwords or accept any imap pop3 server names.
