Gmail with Mail.app?

I'm having a problem getting my Mail and Gmail hooking up. I followed the instructions on the gmail site for using Apple Mail, but still cannot get it to work.

Does anyone else with gmail have/had this problem? I'd really like to get it working so I dont have to go to the website all the time.

Try following these instructions. I think gmail's instructions for mail.app misses a few steps.

I just got all the port and server inforamtion and was able to get it too work fine, although due to that I'm not sure if there instuctions are right or not.

I had that same problem... my solution was that I was dumb and forgot to hit the save button on the gmail page when I turned POP authentication on. Then it worked great.

And oh yeah,,,, this is my 100th post!!!!!!!!!!!!
