go menu grey on startup

Hi

when i first start up my mbp, the go menu in finder is greyed out for a while

so i cant get to my documents - its annoying and means that if i cant be bothered to wait i have to go via mac HD - users - my name etc...

its only just started doing this... never did it a few weeks ago!

Download OnyX (a free maintenance utility) and clean all of your caches. Also run Disk Utility and Repair permissions.

i had already done the permissions, i'll try the other software, thanks mate
