For anyone who owns this piece of crap, it got updated today! Now Time Machine should work with it again.
If you've had a horror story with this product, then feel free to rant below :D
 
Terrible performance from its Linux NTFS drivers rendering Time Machine near useless (even when working), intrusive software, constant "talk-home" connections to outside services, followed by a hardware failure loosing all data.

I really could rant about these devices. I got a replacement months ago and it's still sealed in its box.

Cool hardware though, there's a full Linux server in the pedestal if you can get access to it.
 
No support for partitions othe NTFS. I tried ext4 and HFS+, both of which were rejected on both the USB and the SATA.
Horrible performance, takes forever to load 2 files on Finder. Not opening, just displaying them. Opening takes 3 minutes per 1MB file.
