it only streams movies convert to the right format that the iPad already supports. this is mention somewhere in the tech specs for the device on its webpage.

This device is sorely lacking. Reviews are mixed and the App is crippled.
Its the right idea, but I want a true WIFI device that I can link regardless of platform.
I dont want to be dependent on apps or on seagates idea of how I should access my data.
Sometimes I wonder who designs these things. I expect greatness from Seagate and they never live up.
