iPhone X Going back to iPhone 7 from X - quick question

Hi folks,

I’m about to send my iPhone X 64gb off today to one of the recycling companies before the price drops on it.

my question is, I’ve only got a 32gb iPhone 7 to tide me over until the 12 arrives. Is it possible to use the same Apple login when setting up the 7?

I’m just worried about iCloud trying to put everything onto the iPhone 7 and due to limited space it fails and impacts what is currently backed up.

I plan to restore my iPhone X straight to the new phone once I get it.
