Hi All,

Another quick question, if I decide to go back to Snow LEopard from Lion I can (as I understand it) Wither use my snow leopard disc or do a Time MAchine restore.

Just wondered, can I do this without losing the word docs, video files, photos etc I have on my MacBook.

I would guess if I do a time machine restore I would (It would go back to the way it was) but not sure what would happen if I reboot from the SL disc.

Any advice on how to

a)Get back to Snow Leopard
and
b) Keep all my files/mails/photos/itunes/bookmarks etc as they are will be very helpful

Many thanks Again

Rob

First make a backup of your data with TMachine.

Grab your SL disc, format the Mac partition, reinstall SL.

When asked to restore from a TM backup, simply plug in your TM drive. That's all there is to it.

Thanks

Will that keep my files etc as they are at the moment?

Cheers

The email in Lion is not compatible with Snow Leopard. You'll lose it all. I sent all mine to a gmail account then read it back into SL. (not an easy task if you have 10k+ items.

Fortunately, I don't get too many mails!!

Useful to know though, thanks Bill
