I have a 13inch macbook pro.

Trying to set up HDMI from macbook to tv.

I went to system preferences and selected mirroring and all that works great.
When I go to the sound to select HDMI output there is no icon to select and the sound only can play from the macbook pro and from what I see on youtube everyone has that option.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance

Try logging in and out of your account with the hdmi cable still connected. I had this problem the other day and this solved it.

Which model year is your Macbook Pro? Only the 2010 and newer models support audio output via Mini-Displayport.
