basic info: iPad 3 running IOS 8.4.1
I have a router and repeater. The repeater has 2.4 and 5ghz bands.
At various times I have logged into all three. Invariably the iPad will lose the connection. Sometimes I can log back in to a different band or router. Sometimes I have to reboot iPad.
I've tried many of the fixes mentioned but nothing seems to work. I have another identical iPad and it keeps a connection just fine.
I'm wondering if there might be a problem the network adapter.
All suggestions are most welcome.

Do you have a way to check if the router / Wifi hardware has its firmware up-to-date? Does the iPad with issues work ok in other Wifi networks? If so, that might rule out a hardware issue on the iPad I guess. Best success!

The router firmware is up to date. I've not used this iPad outside my home network in a while so not sure about other wifi sources.
