Going directly to desktop after start up?

I was recently toying around with bootcamp on a 2011 macbook pro and afterwards I find myself having to hold option key every time I start up my mac or else it will just go to a black screen that says "No bootable device found" or something like that. Is there a way to set it up so it just goes directly to my desktop?

Go to Preference > Startup Disk > Restart with your main HDD
