So I have a question about making my transition from 6 to 6S. My current 6 is on iOS 9.1, but the 6S is coming with iOS 9.0. Can I downgrade to 9 without losing anything? I have a back up on iOS 9 but it's a little old and I don't want to use that one. I didn't even consider this situation. Does anyone know how quick the new devices get betas (aka so I can get the 6S to have 9.1 so I don't have to lose anything.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Download the 9.0 PR and then use the 'shift' + check for update in iTunes and point iTunes to the .ipsw. It will then "update" to the 9.0PR.

What sold you on that minor update though, just curious
I go to music festivals a LOT, so the 4K recording and improved camera is big for me. I love the new color. Also the new selfie camera is awesome because I like taking group pictures. The 3D Touch is just so convinient I could see myself using it a lot, and am interested in seeing how apps integrate it. The faster speeds and RAM are cool too.

My dad also wants a smartphone (never had one) so I'm giving him mine anyway so I need a new phone

This worked, thanks! It's telling me that a software update is available though (iOS 9 even though I have the GM...) I'm scared to update it thinking it will become confused and break something.

Have you deleted the beta profile?

Settings - General, scroll to the bottom iirc.

Edit: you should have updated to 9.0 PR, the public release, not the GM. Check what update its offering you.

Here is a link to 9.0PR if you are still on the GM (but make sure you delete the beta profile first, or it will offer you a 9.1 beta update),

There is no beta profile on profiles  Maybe it's gone now or something?

The update might delete it, I'm sure I had to manually delete it when I downgraded my Air during the week, if it's gone I wouldn't worry.

Have you checked what update is being offered? If you used the GM it's probably the PR air you don't have the beta profile. The public release isn't the same as the GM this time.

That's what I was thinking. And it says iOS 9 followed by the usual release notes for every big iOS installment (the public ones) so I'm gonna download it and hopefully everything is ok. Thank you for all the help I appreciate it!:)

Minor ? are you kidding or lack of information

12 MP camera over an 8 MP

Better screen

Improved TouchID

Better front camera (5 mp) over the others

Faster CPU/GPU

Improved and strengthen body

2 GB memory over 1 GB

3D Touch

and a minor upgrade to the color

For a person with a iPhone 6 these are minor
By the way you forgot the 4K video recording

Not necessarily true for everyone. I have a 6+ and I am upgrading. Why would I ever even start in the AT&T Next program if I wasn't going to upgrade each year?
