Going from MacPro 1,1 to 2011 i5 iMac?

I have an original MacPro 1,1 and am looking to upgrade but not to current machines. The one I'm looking at is a 2011 quad 2.5 i5. The ram between the two will be the same. How much of a performance increase should I expect? Photo, graphics and video editing programs only.

Can't upgrade OS without work arounds.

Or should I go 2008/2009 Mac Pro route instead?
