going from VZW family plan to individual plan

Hi all,

so I'm eligible for a phone upgrade.. but I'm on a family plan. and want to move to an individual plan. How do you recommend I go about doing this?

Should I re-sign up for a new account? If I go through the VZW site to order the iPhone5 through my family account, and switch to an individual plan, the only billing information available is for the account owner. I want to switch it to under my name.

Any ideas from people from Verizon who have done this?
