I had an Otterbox Defender on it for a few months, but after people repeatedly asked me to repeat what I was saying, I took the Otterbox case off, and they said they could hear me better.

That came back to bite me today -- it felt out of my sweat pants pocket. It's not horribly cracked, but it's enough to bug me. It must have fallen on the top right corner. There's a hair-line type crack going diagonally from the top right to the bottom left. Everything still works fine. I'm just OCD, and seeing that line bothers me.

Anyways, reputable local shops charge about $130. I don't want to spend that to get it fixed, but at the same time, every time I look at the phone now it bothers me. Also, in a year or so when I want to trade it in or sell it, I know I won't get nearly as much.

Is it worth it to get it fixed for re-sell purposes?

I'm definitely looking for cases in the mean time (something thin but with drop protection).

Thanks!

I am afraid you would get even less than you could imagine if you sell it.
Also, I nake my iPhone from day one and never ever had a single crack on the screen. It fell on the ground a few times though, and some noticeable dents. The key is to carry a bag with me and put the phone in. Case could cause phone to overheat. I must say, if I use a case now, my phone will get even hotter whenever I want to play a game or doing massive Download.

I’d say it’s worth it. I have a screen protector, and if I see just a tiny air bubble I go nuts. Can’t even imagine if I saw a crack. So my advice if it bothers you never mind resale value, peace of mind is priceless.

Yes, I would repair For reasons you mentioned. Especially if you plan to resell it, it will only benefit you in added revenue. And the iPhone 7 is relatively still new enough of a device that it has value versus an older model iPhone.

$130 a bargain if it bothers you every time you look at it and intend to resell or get credit as a trade in down the road.
